ABSTRACT
This research project is a very crucial study for the Nigerian government owned can companies. The study was motivated by the necessity to solve this problems of effective management in government owned companies in Nigeria a case study of Nigeria Coal Co-operation Enugu.
To solve the research problem, both primary and secondary data were collected. The instruments used in collecting the data were questionnaires and oral interviews. The respondents comprised of the personnel, distributors and consumers of the company’s product. The following hypothesis were tested.
Data analysis and interpretation gave the followings:
i)Most of the respondents were completed and returned representing the total distribution
ii)Most of the respondents were distributed to the semi-urban areas, while others were distributed to urban areas and rural areas.
Based on the findings, the researcher recommends that!
i)There should be efficient distribution
ii)There should be limited control of sub-dealers
iii)Users should be granted licenses.
