ABSTRACT
This research work was carriedout to analyze the implications of privatization the unbundled firms of the PHCN. The broad objective of the study was to ascertain the effect of the privatization program on the Nigeria selecting and the economy as a whole. In the course of the study, survey research method was adopted and the researcher formulated a part of hypothesis. A sample size of 150 respondents was used. Primary data were collected from respondents using questionnaires measurement instruments. Collected data were collected from respondents using questionnaires measurement instruments. Collected data were presented on tables and analyzed mathematically using simple, percentages. The chi-square statistical tool was used in testing the hypothesis formulated. Evidence from the research data shows that the power sector privatization will lead to better service delivery, improved productivity and adequate utilization of organization resources in the power sector. It was recommended among other things that for this program to be successful, the NERC should provide practical conditions for eth electric power market to develop a delicate balance between the interest of the privatized companies and the benefits of society.
