ABSTRACT
The diverse structure of the economics of the third world countries and the predominance of good markets for industrial goods provide good environmental conditions to support the growth of small –scale industries, the structure of these economics and the type of markets differ greatly from those of the developed countries. This is why large scale industries are not suitable for developing countries (at least in the initial stages of industrialization).
Government in Nigeria having realized this, employ every available means to reader assistance to promote high growth of small scale industries. Despite all these assistance, most small scale industries in Nigeria still perform very low below expectations. This is why I chose to find out the cause of the problems. I was able to identify the following as the major problems:
(1)Bad management of resources
(2)Insufficient capital
(3)Lack of division of labour and
(4)Recruitment of unqualified personnel
