The Problems And Prospects Of Commercializing And Processing Cashew Nuts In Enugu State

The objective of this research work is to find out the problems and prospect of commercializing and processing cashew nuts in Enugu State.

Firstly I tried to find out the climatic soil, socio-economic and technological factors that affect the production and processing of cashew nuts in Enugu State. I also tried to asses the position or the role commercializing of cashew nuts and its processing can play in the upliftment of the economic base of the state by earning foreign exchange problem militating against the prospecting and processing of cashew nuts in commercial quantities were also identified and solutions proffered.

Finally, recommendations were made on my findings. A bright future for commercial cashew nuts farming and prospecting awaits the stats.
