Abstract
The study tried to x-ray the relevance and compliance of the regulation of the insurance by the government. The study identified problems in the implementation of these regulations. Solutions are preferred through the recommendation to achieve the objectives of the government regulation of the insurance industry. The objective of government regulation on insurance industry in Nigeria is to prevent fraud protection of insolvency to make insurance protection widely available. The research method was collected from primary and secondary data by test of hypothesis, the source of information id from personal interview, journal of insurance institution of Nigeria insurance year book and insurance digest. The researcher concludes that government regulations is helping the growth of insurance in Nigeria. it recommends creation of awareness as it concerns the insurance regulation to the public.
