ABSTRACT
The aim of this research work is to find out the economic implication of the fuel subsidy scam in Nigeria with Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation as a case study. It is also to determine the adverse effect of fuel subsidy scam on the socio-economic and political welfare of the Nigeria populace this research work has five chapters. Chapter one contains the general background of the study and the reason behind the fuel subsidy removal by the Federal Government of Nigeria. It went further in identifying the problems and why the study is carried out, the scope and limitation of the study and finally the propositions and definition of terms.
Chapter two, examined a number of past related literature from different scholars as related to fuel subsidy scam/removal. Chapter three deals with the design of the study, the methods used in collecting the relevant data, it also deals with the population of the study and research instrument used. Chapter four analyzed and interpreted the data gotten from the research survey. Also questionnaires were compared in this chapter.
