ABSTRACT
The general objective of the study was to examine facility planning and design: the import in the face of intense competition and globalization in hospitality operation. Chapter one deals with introduction to planning and design in hospitality operation, definition of terms. Chapter two covers the main work such as the concept of facility planning and design in hospitality operation, necessary consideration in planning and design of hospitality operation, consideration of aesthetic planning and design for hospitality operation, challenges affecting planning and design especially when place side with competition and globalization, trends in planning and design of hospitality operation, importance measures to facility planning and design to hospitality operation. Chapter four has to do with the conclusion. Chapter five finally deals with the recommendations.
