ABSTRACT
The increasing rate of teenage smokers in Nigeria and probably the world over has introduced both social and economic problems in the society. Most people are of the view that advertisement has contributed immensely to this trend. Our problem therefore is to evaluate “the effects of Tobacoo advertising on student of tertiary institution in Nigeria using a ESUT students as the study. Consequently, there must be a relationship between the adverts messages of tobacco manufactures and natural appeals to students that make this group a sure market for the manufactures. It is this impulsive tendency to smoke cigarette based on information about the products that has aroused a research interest on the stated impact study. This project will be segmented into five chapters. The first chapter will contain the introduction, significance of the study, objectives of the study among others. Again the literature review will form part of chapter two. The researchers will review other works on the subject of discussion by the seasoned authors. Again journals that discusses on tobacco will be also used. Chapter three will contain the research design and methodology. This also will contain the sources of data, population of study, sample size, method of data collection etc and chapter four will discuss data presentation and analysis and finally, chapter five will contain summary of findings, conclusion and recommendations.
